Itineraries

Day 1

Dar es salaam to Nyerere NP ( By air )

Transfer by the plane from Dar es Salaam airport to Nyerere National Park, located around a 45-minute flight from Tanzania’s bustling capital in the south.

Your home for the next few nights will be the effortlessly stylish Siwandu Camp on the banks of Lake Nzerakera where luxury tented suites offer that back-to-nature feel, but with all the comforts of an exceptional safari experience.

Day 2-3

Nyerere NP game drive

Nyerere National Park is a true haven for safari-goers of an adventurous persuasion. Three times the size of South Africa’s iconic Kruger National Park and teeming with Africa’s largest and most undisturbed wildlife populations, it makes for an unrivaled safari experience. On safari in Nyerere, you are unlikely to encounter other tourists, making for a peaceful and authentic experience while dinner and overnight at Siwandu camp

Also will enjoy the varied game activities and wildlife they will see as a result of its remarkable topography, from boat rides on the river to game drives in open-sided vehicles.

Day

Fly to Ruaha National Park

This morning after an early activity with Siwandu, they will transfer you to the airstrip for your flight to Ruaha, a flight of around 1 and a half hours.

Contrast the lush and aqueous landscape of Nyerere with Ruaha’s comparatively more desert-like conditions, home to Savannah flats, rocky outcrops and surreal baobab trees. Ruaha National Park can also boast Tanzania’s largest elephant population—an enduring game favorite amongst adults and youngsters alike.

Your destination is the luxury Ikuka Safari Camp, perched on top of an escarpment in the heart of the park, the lodge has spectacular views.

Day 5-6

Ruaha game drive

Twice daily activities are included during your stay and you will focus mostly on game drives in open-sided vehicles. However, walking safaris are also possible for those over 16.

Wildlife viewing is fantastic in this park including healthy population of lions, elephants, leopards and crocodiles, families will be in their element.

Day 7

Fly to Zanzibar

After the best part of a week on safari, time to unwind at the beach is most certainly in order.

Ikuka Safari camp will transport you to the airstrip in time for your internal flight to Zanzibar. It is a beautiful flight especially as you near Zanzibar and glimpse the azure waters lapping at the island.

Upon arrival at Zanzibar, you will be met by a driver and transported to Baraza Resort & Spa where you stay for the next five nights on an all-inclusive basis in a Two-Bedroom Villa. From the airport, it is a drive of around an hour to the Michamvi Peninsula on the eastern coast of the island to the all-inclusive resort which is located in beautiful gardens along a long stretch of white sandy beach.

Day 8-11

Relaxing in Zanzibar

Baraza has 30 villas of varying styles. For families, we recommend either a Garden View Villa or upgrading to a Sultan’s Sea Facing Villa, each complete with two bedrooms.

As well as ideal accommodation options, Baraza has many amenities which make it one of the best family-friendly options on the island. There is a stunning sandy beach, sheltered lagoon, swimming pool, gardens, a water sports centre and a children’s club. Baby sitting and child minding are also available. Families can recline in paradise, lounge by the infinity pool, snorkel on pristine reefs, or simply enjoy a novel on the beach as gentle sea breezes flit across the pages, on one of Tanzania’s stunning Spice Islands

Departure

You can spend the last hours of your journey relaxing. At an appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport in time to catch your flight.

Day 1 of this tour is an arrival day, and it will involve a pick up at DAR airport or Dar lodgings and game drive in Mikumi National Park

Your tour Ends at Zanzibar Airport.

We definitely have airport pick up and drop up services available for our clients who have booked our full packages tour. We are also pleased to inform you that we don’t charge for the pick up and drop off services. Actually it’s free of cost. But for this you need to provide the arrival time and date.

We provide English speaking chauffeurs for individual tours. For group tours, English speaking tour escorts would accompany the groups. During sightseeing involving historically important places or monuments, we provide English speaking local guides who are well knowledged in history and culture. We could even provide guides who speak French, German and Japanese but only on advanced booking.

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and it is left the discretion of the travellers. Though not compulsory, tipping is expected by one and all involved in the service industry. We would recommend carrying small change in your pocket. Tips to Guides or other services rendered (Highly recommended)

We accept children of all ages to travel on safari and believe it is a wonderful experience for families to travel together. For children to make the most out of their travels, we suggest looking into one of our special family itineraries. We have car seats available for very young children. Please bear in mind, some of the accommodation have minimum age restrictions, so please inform us of the age of your child/children.
